About this grant

The Jóvenes máshumano Prize is a competition by the Máshumano Foundation (with INJUVE) for people aged 14–35 living in Spain: you need an idea or project with social or environmental impact that answers one of the announced “challenges” for 21st-century organisations. The winner in each main category receives €3,000 of seed capital; everyone who submits a project can get a mentor, semi-finalists a coach, and finalists compete for special awards.

The organisers choose semi-finalists and then finalists on criteria of novelty, economic viability, scalability and social responsibility. In 2026 applications ran from 20 May to 24 July and the final is in November 2026 in Madrid; the 23 July 2027 date in the record is a guide.

  2. 2

Formulate an idea or project that addresses one of the challenges for 21st-century organisations: sustainable products, social entrepreneurship, tools for people with different abilities, etc. Criteria: innovation, economic viability, scalability and social responsibility.

  3. 3

Open the “Bases” page at jovenes.mashumano.org and read the current rules: dates and prize sizes change from year to year. The 2026 window ran from 20 May to 24 July (until 24:00).

What exactly to submit

Documents and materials to attach to the application.

  • Applicant details, an ID with your date of birth (14–35) and proof of residence in Spain
  • A description of the idea or project in the website form (problem, solution, target audience, how it differs from what exists)
  • If a legal entity applies, its details and its representative

Example

Example (written by us): Dmitri, 18, lives in Madrid and has come up with an app for sharing class notes with an accessible interface. In June he describes the problem, solution, audience and income plan in the form at jovenes.mashumano.org, gets a mentor and in November, if selected, presents the project at the final.

An example we wrote to illustrate: it is not an official sample, replace the details with your own.

How applicants are chosen

The organisers choose semifinalists and then finalists by the criteria of innovation, economic viability, scalability and social responsibility. The final is held in person in Madrid.

What happens after you apply

The winner of each category gets €3,000 of seed capital; finalists compete for special recognitions (for example support from Madrid City Council and the ENISA submission fee from Sego Finance). The prize size in earlier editions was different: check the current “Bases”.

Common mistakes

  • Waiting for the last day of the window: the form closes at 24:00 on the final day
  • Describing only a nice idea without demand and money analysis: the jury weighs economic viability and scalability
  • Not reading the current “Bases”: amounts and dates change
  • Forgetting that you must live in Spain

Tips

  • We haven't re-checked the conditions by hand yet: compare amounts and deadlines with the official page before applying.
